ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

  • Course-wise Eligibility criteria & Educational Qualifications for admission:-
  1. Bachelor of Engineering/Technology(B.E./B. Tech.) duration of 4 years.
  2. Passing 12th through (10+2) education system of Board of secondary education, Chhattisgarh or any recognized board/University with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subject as Chemistry/ Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject is essential.
  3. Passing cumulatively in all three main subjects i.e. Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject with minimum 45% marks for UR category and 40% marks for SC,ST,OBC category and PWD candidate.
  4. Passing separately in each of the 3 main qualifying subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology /Technical Vocational subject (Theory and Practical) as per rules of concerning board is essential.
  5. Master of Engineering/Technology (M.E./M. Tech.) duration of 2 years

Passing 4 years graduate degree course (B.E./B. Tech.) in relevant branch of engineering from a recognized university/institution or equivalent degree in appropriate subject with minimum 50% marks for UR category and 45% marks for SC,ST,OBC category and PWD candidate of Chhattisgarh is essential.

Relevant/appropriate degree level courses and GATE subjects eligible for the purpose of admission in relevant/appropriate M.E./M.tech. course.

  1. Bachelor of Engineering(Lateral Entry second year) duration of 3 years

Passing three year diploma in engineering from recognized Board/University /institute with minimum 45% marks (aggregate) or with minimum 45% marks in final year for UR category and 40% for SC, ST, OBC category and PWD candidates of Chhattisgarh is essential.

OR

Passing B.Sc. exam from recognized University/institute with minimum 45% marks (aggregate) or with minimum 45% marks in final year for UR category and 40% for SC, ST, OBC category and PWD candidates of Chhattisgarh is essential. In addition , passing 12th with mathematics as subject is essential. B.Sc. candidate shall be considered only when diploma candidates are not available.

 

  • The candidate, who has passed Diploma in Engineering/Architecture from recognized University/Board with minimum 45% marks for UR category and with a minimum of 40% marks for SC,ST,OBC and PWD class of Chhattisgarh, shall also be eligible for admission to the first year engineering degree courses.
  • If the candidate has passed qualifying examination (12th), but failed in one or more compulsory subject than he/she shall not be considered eligible for admission. If the candidate is declared passed with grace as per the rules of related board than he/she shall be considered eligible for admission.
  • Education Qualification may change as per direction of statutory body/state government or by court order. This information shall be published separately.
  • The aforesaid qualifications shall be fulfilled on or before the date of counselling/admission. The Failed/Supplementary/Compartment candidate on the date of counselling are not eligible for counselling. If candidate passes the exam on or before the last date of admission he/she shall be eligible for admission.
  • If the candidate has passed by grace, it shall be acceptable for fulfilling the condition of passing only but grace marks shall not be added for calculation of qualifying/merit marks
  • For the candidates of other state, the provisions of rules of ‘Academic Institute (Reservation in Admission) Rule 2012’ notified by Chhattisgarh government shall be applicable.
  • There shall be no provision of reservation of seats or relaxation in eligibility criteria for candidates of reserved category of other states, (not having caste certificate of Chhattisgarh state, though they may be domicile of Chhattisgarh state). These candidates shall be considered under unreserved category and given admission rule for unreserved category.
  • It is the sole responsibility of candidate to produce pass certificate of qualifying exam.
  • Higher education department of Government of Chhattisgarh has not given permission to any University/Educational institute to run off-campus/study centre and franchise in Chhattisgarh state. Educational qualifications acquired from such off-campus/study centre and franchise shall not be considered in the State for admission to engineering, technology, architecture and pharmacy courses.

About Jagdalpur:-

Jagdalpur is a city in Bastar district in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. Jadgalpur is the administrative headquarters of Bastar District and Bastar Division, and was the capital of the erstwhile princely state of Bastar. Jagdalpur is well known for its greenery, lush green mountains, deep valleys, dense forests, streams, waterfalls, caves, natural parks, monuments, natural resources, herbs, exuberant festivity and peaceful solitude. Bastar conjures up images of the royal past and the tribes. The city's demographic is changing rapidly and it is also fastest in Chhattisgarh state.

 

How to Reach Jagdalpur?

Road transport

Road network in and around Jagdalpur can be seen from the road network map of the area. Bus Services(Both Luxury and Ordinary) are available from Jagdalpur Bus Terminal provided by local Service Providers to major cities like Raipur, Bilaspur, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Amravati, Vizianagaram, Vijayawada etc. Buses for Raipur and Bilaspur are available in every 15 minutes of interval. Jagdalpur is well connected by road with the Chhattisgarh state capital Raipur, Hyderabad Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and other nearby National Highways providing onward connectivity to other major towns and cities of India.

 

The National Highways passing through Jagdalpur are NH 30 (connecting Raipur to Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh), NH 221 (connecting Jagdalpur to Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh) and NH 16 (connecting Jagdalpur to Nizamabad in Andhra Pradesh) while passing through Maharashtra.

NH 30 at Raipur connects Jagdalpur to NH 6 leading to Nagpur and Kolkata.

NH 43 connects Natavalasa in Andhra Pradesh and Raipur in Chhattisgarh and passes through Jagdalpur. NH 221 near Vijayawada connects Jagdalpur to NH 9 leading to Hyderabad and Pune. NH 16 at Bhopalpatnam connects with NH 202, which once completed, would connect Jagdalpur to Warangal and Hyderabad.

 

Rail Connectivity

There are daily trains connecting Visakhapatnam to Jagdalpur  (passenger train 58501/58502) & Bhubaneswar to Jagdalpur (Hirakhand Express 18447/18448) . Jagdalpur has got one new train i.e. (Durg–Jagdalpur Tri-weekly express 18211/18212 which runs between Durg-Jagdalpur via Raipur Mahasamund, Titilagarh and also (18005/18006) Howrah - Koraput express has been extended to Jagdalpur.

 The above however is a roundabout way to reach Raipur from Jagdalpur as it is a much longer route (622 km compared to 300 km by road) and takes much longer time (about 16 Hrs as compared to 5-6 Hrs by road).

Air Transport

Prime Minister of India during his visit in April 2018 has confirmed that the new airport being constructed at Jagdalpur would become fully operational in the next couple of months, i.e. by end of 2018.

The construction of the airport in Jagdalpur is at an advanced stage of completion and services between Jagdalpur, Raipur and Visakhapatnam are slated to commence by end of  2018.
